In less than three weeks, the new numbers for the United States hit 100,000 for the first time in less than three weeks. Friday’s 195,542 new issue was the latest daily high.
The death toll is approaching. The death toll in the United States on Thursday rose to more than 2,000, for the first time since early May. A total of 1,878 people were reported dead on Friday.
The United States leads the world in over 255,000 deaths.
