Firehouse drive-ups will replace open homes in Buffalo

Buffalo, New York (WKBW) – Fire prevention and life saving.

This is the idea behind the Buffalo Fire Department’s recent campaign.

The last four firefighters on Motor 36 and Ladder 13 at Elwood and Hertel hosted Saturday afternoon.

This is part of all National Fire Protection Month activities.

These events are usually open to the public, but due to COVID-19, things had to change this year.

People can come to the fire station with a free children’s activity bag with a car smoke detector as well as an adult gift bag.

Firefighters donated 800 suitcases to four different events.
